WORKSHOP OVERVIEW工作坊簡介

This workshop examines how lesson design can support effective teaching and learning in English Medium Instruction (EMI) settings. Participants will first engage in model activities and then analyse and critique the pedagogical principles underlying them. The session draws on recognised task types such as lesson hooks, visual teaching, question-based learning, information gap activities, categorising and ranking tasks, and the development of disciplinary definitions. Through collaborative group work, participants will evaluate how these approaches promote deeper conceptual understanding while supporting language development. The workshop highlights alignment with 21st-century pedagogy, emphasizing critical thinking, collaboration, and interactive learning.
